Complaints policy

This policy explains how we handle complaints.

What a complaint is

A complaint is an expression of dissatisfaction, however made, about the standard of service, actions, or lack of action by the council, its staff, or those acting on its behalf, affecting an individual customer or group.

You do not need to use the word 'complaint' for us to treat it as such. We will offer you the choice to make a complaint whenever you express dissatisfaction.
