You will not be able to make any online payments on Tuesday 8 April, 9.30am-4.30pm while we carry out essential maintenance.

This will affect all online payments, including parking permits, parking tickets (PCNs), council tax and rent payments. You will also not be able to make payments using our automated payment line 020 7527 8000 or by calling 020 7527 2000.

If you need to make a payment, please try again after 4.30pm on Tuesday. We are sorry for any inconvenience while we carry out this essential work.

What we pick up as household rubbish

This handy guide will help you decide what to put in your rubbish bin or black bags.

Items we do not pick up

  • recycling 
  • DIY waste such as soil, rubble, bricks, wood (take to the Reuse and Recycling Centre
  • garden waste (if a garden waste collection is not provided, take to the Reuse and Recycling Centre) 
  • electrical items (take to the Household Reuse and Recycling Centre or use Your local area to find your nearest small electrical items recycling point)
  • batteries (most supermarkets and libraries have battery recycling points) 
  • textiles (take to your nearest recycling point)  
  • items which may make your dustbin too heavy to be lifted by one person 
  • fluorescent light bulbs (take to the Reuse and Recycling Centre)  
  • mobile phones or other electrical gadgets (take to the Reuse and Recycling Centre or take to the nearest small electrical items recycling point).
