Any Council Tax discounts that we confirm you will receive will not be included on your standard annual bill. We send you a second bill later that shows your discounts and a new amount that you will pay.
You will need to find your Council Tax account number or be signed into My Islington to apply for these discounts.
We may ask you to give us proof of the information you tell us.

Single person discount
You can get 25% off your bill if you're the only person 18 or over living in your home - use the form to apply, cancel if something has changed or respond to a review letter

Student exemption
Students in full-time education do not always have to pay council tax

Older person's discount
Apply for a council tax discount if you are state pension age or older

Disability discount
If any room in your home has been adapted for you or for a disabled person who lives with you, you could get a lower council tax bill

If you get or give care you may be be able to get a lower council tax bill
