Street naming and numbering
Information on how to name or change the name or number of a street or building.
Apply for street naming or numbering if you need:
- addresses for new developments
- addresses for properties where the number of units is being changed, for example where a house is being converted into a number of self-contained flats
- changes to property names
- to add a property name to a numbered address
- rename streets and renumber buildings
We do not create new post codes, but we get new ones from Royal Mail after new addresses have been agreed if needed.
