Controlled Parking Zones (CPZs)

Controlled Parking Zones (CPZs) are areas where on-street parking is controlled during specified times. They are the most effective way of managing parking and are commonly used in busy areas across the UK

Find your Controlled Parking Zone

Enter your postcode and activate the find button

Controlled parking zones are areas in Islington where, during operating hours, you can only park in bays on the street if you have:

  • a valid permit
  • a visitor voucher
  • paid at a meter or through a parking provider in short-stay bays.

Where you can park

Find out about short-stay parking in Islington.

Residents can buy parking permits for the zone they live in. Resident parking permit holders can also park in other zones at specific times and days of the week.

Estate parking controls are different to on-street parking restrictions.

Hours of operation

Hours of operation are times of day when you can't park without a permit, visitor voucher or payment. Each zone has its own times and there are signs in the area telling you what those times are.

Use the controlled parking zone map to see where a zone is and what times you will need a permit, visitor voucher or to pay for parking in a short-stay bay.

You can also enter a postcode to find out which parking zone you're in and hours of operation.

About MA and MD (match day controls)
