Some online services unavailable on Saturday 23 November and Monday 25 November

Due to essential maintenance some of our online services will be unavailable over the next few days.

  • On Saturday 23 November between 9am–5pm you will be unable to view your council tax, council tax support and housing benefits accounts or documents while we upgrade our systems.
  • On Monday 25 November between 6–11pm our online parking services will be unavailable. During this time, you won’t be able to review or pay for parking tickets or buy parking permits or visitor vouchers.

We are sorry for any inconvenience while we carry out these necessary works.

Environment and Regeneration privacy notice

The following privacy notice applies to the London Borough of Islington’s Environment and Regeneration department.

 

What information we collect, hold and use

The information we collect about you would include, but is not limited to:

  • Name
  • Date of birth
  • Address
  • Contact details (phone/mobile/email) 

We may ask you further details where required and appropriate:

  • Ethnicity
  • Religious or other similar beliefs
  • Marital status
  • Physical or mental health condition 
  • Financial information
  • Vehicle details

We use your personal information to:

  • ensure that we meet all of our legal and statutory duties including but not limited to those which apply under the legislation listed here: Environment and Regeneration legal and statutory duties.
  • Other contracts and agreements setting out the terms and conditions of services provided to you by the Environment & Regeneration Department 
    We may also use your data: 
  • to check and, if needed, update your customer record details
  • for administrative purposes and customer service
  • to contact you to take part in some independent research or survey and ask your opinion about our services to ensure we understand how we can deliver a better service to our residents
  • to provide you with information about our activities and services relevant to the area in which you live. 

Call recording

Any personal information recorded during telephone conversations is stored on the system for a period of one year after which they are securely deleted.

CCTV

Any images recorded through CCTV are stored on the system for one month after which they are securely deleted. Agencies we might share the information with include:

  • commissioned partners/contractors who undertake our work
  • land registry
  • district/borough councils 
  • police for the purposes of fraud and crime prevention
  • driver and vehicle licensing agency

Retention

Unless specified in the legislation cited above, date will be deleted in line with the Limitation Act 1980 (Section 2).

Complaints

If you have been dissatisfied with the service you have been provided and have exhausted the council’s corporate complaints process, you can refer any complaints to the Local Government Ombudsman. Details of how to complain.
